Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Samuel Karpel is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of AcroDocz. Sam has a broad role at AcroDocz. He is responsible for all legal matters affecting the company, and with experience in personal injury, he assists in the development of services.
From 2007 to 2012, Sam represented personal injury clients, and therefore, he understands the needs of attorneys when it comes to the handling of medical records. In private practice, Sam represents businesses in litigation matters, including cases involving breach of contract, partnership disputes, and business torts.
Sam received a B.A. in 2003 from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and received a J.D. in 2006 from New England School of Law in Boston. He is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
CEO
Vinod is consumed by the need to eliminate inefficiencies from the healthcare sector. He brings over 15 years of experience in operations, financial analysis, strategy, growth, corporate development, strategic planning, and marketing.
As the CEO, he is tasked to strategize the growth of the company, new client acquisition, and applying new generation technology to organize and simplify medical records.
Vinod is a member of the founding team of Medical Billing Wholesalers (www.medicalbillingwholesalers.com), where he is involved in applying his experience to optimize revenue cycle process flows to improve the profitability and performance of its clients.
Under Vinod’s leadership, MBW has grown from 5 employees in 2010 to over 300 employees with multiple locations in Chennai and Bangalore, supporting multiple physicians, medical practices, medical billing companies, revenue cycle software providers, and EMR companies.
Prior to starting Medical Billing Wholesalers, Vinod served as Director of Operations at One World United (OWU), an organization offering healthcare solutions to corporations and individuals seeking medical treatment abroad. Earlier, he worked as a Senior Financial Analyst for Sprint Telecom, where he was honored with the “2005 Sprint Excellence Award” and earned the distinction of “Most Effective Employee.”
The dual master’s degrees in quantitative finance and Industrial Engineering that he received from Oklahoma State University as well as extensive experience and achievements within the healthcare arena allow him to offer demonstrable economic benefit, enhancing medical practices’ revenue cycle management and profitability.
